Ingredients: 1 cup self-rising flour; 1 cup sweetened cocoa drink mix (Israeli Shokolit, or a chocolate milk powder); ¾ cup sugar; ¾ cup vegetable oil; 4 large eggs; 1 package vanilla sugar (10 g packet); ½ cup heavy cream (half a 250 ml carton); ½ cup heavy cream (half a 250 ml carton); 1 package bittersweet chocolate (one 3.5 oz bar)

A one-bowl chocolate cake made with sweet cocoa drink mix instead of cocoa, which I cover with chocolate ganache while it's still warm.

What you need

Cake

1 cup self-rising flour
1 cup sweetened cocoa drink mix, Israeli Shokolit, or a chocolate milk powder
¾ cup sugar
¾ cup vegetable oil
4 large eggs
1 package vanilla sugar, 10 g packet
½ cup heavy cream, half a 250 ml carton

Topping

½ cup heavy cream, half a 250 ml carton
1 package bittersweet chocolate, one 3.5 oz bar

How I make it

Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
Mix all the cake ingredients together.
Pour into a 10-inch (26 cm) round pan.
Bake for about 40 minutes.
Combine the topping ingredients and heat in the microwave, stirring, until smooth.
As soon as the cake comes out of the oven, while it's still hot, pour the topping over it.
