Efrat's Notebook
Where I write down what I cook and bake at home. Israeli and American recipes I've gathered over the years, from Shabbat to the holidays, each with a kosher version.

New in my notebook

Foolproof Hamantaschen
My hamantaschen, from a shortbread dough that always works, with a homemade chocolate filling. For Purim I fill some with jam or nuts too.

Real Jerusalem Bagels
My Jerusalem bagels, long and covered in sesame. A simple yeast dough, no boiling, straight into the oven until golden.

Shabbat Hamin (Cholent)
My Shabbat hamin, with beef, beans, barley, potatoes and eggs. It goes into the oven on Friday and cooks slowly all night.
