Ingredients: 7 tbsp butter; 3 oz bittersweet chocolate; 2 large eggs; ½ cup sugar; 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder; 2 tsp baking powder (one Israeli 10 g packet); 2 tsp vanilla sugar (one 10 g packet, or 1 tsp vanilla extract); 1 cup all-purpose flour (plus 1 tbsp); ½ cup powdered sugar (for rolling)

Soft chocolate cookies I roll in powdered sugar before baking, so they crack in the oven and come out black and white.

7 tbsp butter
3 oz bittersweet chocolate
2 large eggs
½ cup sugar
2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
2 tsp baking powder, one Israeli 10 g packet
2 tsp vanilla sugar, one 10 g packet, or 1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour, plus 1 tbsp
½ cup powdered sugar, for rolling

How I make it

Beat the eggs with the sugar and vanilla sugar.
Melt the butter with the chocolate, stir until smooth and add to the eggs.
Mix the flour, cocoa and baking powder, add to the eggs and stir until smooth.
Refrigerate until the dough firms up.
Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
Shape the dough into small balls, roll them in powdered sugar and space them out on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake for 15 minutes.
