Chocolate Pie Draft

A buttery shortcrust pie with a rich chocolate filling made with coffee and sour cream. I make it when I want a chocolate dessert without much work.

How I make it

Crust

  1. Mix the flour and sugar, add the butter and work it in until the mixture looks like crumbs.

  2. Mix the yolk with the water and add to the crumbs.

  3. Press the dough over the bottom and sides of a 9½-inch (24 cm) pie pan.

  4. Chill for about 1 hour in the fridge or 15 minutes in the freezer.

Filling

  1. Melt the butter in the microwave for about 1 minute. Add the chocolate, cocoa and coffee and stir well.

  2. Stir in the sour cream and vanilla.

  3. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and sugar well, then fold in the chocolate mixture.

  4. Pour into the crust and bake in an oven preheated to 350°F (180°C) for about 40 minutes.
