Not-Too-Sweet Challah Draft
My challah with just a little sugar, a yeast dough made with milk and butter, braided into two loaves and covered in sesame.

How I make it
Melt the butter in a small pot or in the microwave. At the same time, warm the milk until lukewarm.
In a stand mixer (or by hand), mix all the ingredients and knead into a soft, elastic dough.
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let rise for about 1 hour, or until doubled.
Divide the dough in two, then divide each half into 3 pieces. Braid into 2 loaves.
Set each loaf on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and let rise for about 1 more hour.
Brush each loaf with beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Bake in an oven preheated to 350°F (180°C) for 35 minutes.
