Marble Cake Draft
A buttery marble cake baked in a tube pan, where I swirl a plain batter and a chocolate batter together with a skewer for the pattern.

How I make it
Preheat the oven to 340°F (170°C).
Grease a 10-inch (26 cm) tube pan with a removable bottom (or a tall 8½-inch / 22 cm Bundt pan) with 1 tsp butter and dust with the cornstarch.
Melt the chocolate in the microwave and set aside.
Beat the butter and sugar in a stand mixer bowl.
Add the eggs one at a time, and when the mixture is fluffy, add the vanilla.
Add the flour, baking powder and milk and mix until combined.
Transfer ¾ of the batter to another bowl. Add the chocolate and cocoa to the rest and mix until combined.
Spoon the plain and chocolate batters into the pan side by side, alternating, until both are used up.
Swirl the batters together lightly with a skewer.
Bake on the middle rack for about 45 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.
