Asian-Style Sirloin with Broccoli Draft
Sirloin cubes seared in a very hot pan and glazed in soy, ginger and balsamic with broccoli, a meal I make in minutes.

How I make it
Make the glaze: in a bowl, mix the soy sauce, ginger, balsamic, lemon juice, sugar and pepper. Don't salt it yet.
Cut the broccoli into florets and cook in boiling water for 3-4 minutes. Drain.
Cut the beef into large 1¼-1½ inch (3-4 cm) cubes. Toss in a bowl with salt, pepper, thyme and about 2 tbsp olive oil.
Heat 2 tbsp olive oil in a nonstick skillet. When it's very hot, add the cubes and sear about 1 minute per side, until browned.
Meanwhile, chop the scallions.
Pour the glaze into the pan and turn the beef with tongs for about 2 minutes, until nicely glazed. Add the broccoli toward the end.
Stir in the sesame seeds, transfer to a serving plate and scatter the scallions on top.
