Chocolate Chip Cookies with Honey Draft
Chocolate chip cookies with butter, brown sugar and a spoonful of honey or molasses, which I bake for Rosh Hashanah.

How I make it
Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
In a large bowl, mix the two sugars.
Add the softened butter and beat on high speed until light and fluffy.
Add the eggs one at a time, beating after each.
Add the vanilla and molasses or honey and mix well.
In a separate bowl, mix the baking soda, salt and flour, and add gradually to the batter. Fold in with a spatula.
Add the chocolate chips and mix just until the dough is even.
With 2 teaspoons or a cookie scoop, drop mounds of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake for 8-10 minutes, until the tops are golden.
Let the cookies set on the sheet for a few minutes, then move them to a rack to cool completely.
