How I make it

Dough

  1. Put all the dough ingredients except the water in a food processor and process for 2 minutes.

  2. Add the water and process for another 30 seconds.

  3. Remove the dough, wrap it in plastic wrap and chill in the fridge for 2 hours.

Filling

  1. Heat the oil in a skillet, add the vegetables and sauté, stirring, until softened.

  2. Season with salt and pepper, add the chicken and cook for 3 more minutes.

  3. Add the soy sauce, sweet chili sauce, ketchup, mustard, honey and peanut butter. Stir and cook together for 2 minutes.

  4. Remove from the heat and let cool to room temperature.

Shaping and baking

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Roll the dough into a large thin sheet, about 1/10 inch (2.5 mm) thick, and cut out circles with a glass.

  3. Place a spoonful of filling in the center of each circle, fold into a half-moon and press the edges to seal.

  4. Arrange the turnovers on the sheet, brush with beaten egg and bake for 30 minutes, until golden.
